Our food Values are not rules.
As with everything in the Human Upgrade our food values are way more about the principles way more than the specifics.
Once the ‘why’ is in place – the ‘what’ becomes easy.
The word Value is on purpose.
This is about the Value food can bring to your life.
It is helpful to think of The Food Values in terms of:
The closer to ‘best’ you get – the better you are going to feel,
the better the systems of your body will function,
and the more energy you will have.
Losing unwanted fat, and building strong, sleek muscles,
becomes a by-product of your better choices and demonstrating love for yourself –
rather than an aim in itself.
As you will have noticed from your food audit –
every single photo you took represented a choice.
Everything you eat represents a choice.
There is no special ‘diet’.
The word diet suggests an end date, something you are either ‘on’ or ‘off’ – ‘pass’ or ‘fail’.
There are simply better choices.
This is an evolution.
Your brain hates losing unhealthy things (like sugar and fast food)
that used to light up its pleasure receptors.
Small, steady improvements give your brain nothing to fight against.
They allow time for your taste buds to adapt – so new things do that job.
We reinforce our positive emotional connection with food
whilst simultaneously addressing the negative ones.
Before long, you’ll find that your preferences become healthier.
Without the battle.
It’s an all-positive approach.
You simply move steadily towards the things that will make you feel happier and healthier.
If you make an unhelpful choice its doubly important to make the next one better.
