Start a – Good Sh*t List
Call it whatever you like…
Write down the good stuff
However tiny
Start today
and do it every day
It changes the way that you feel
It changes the way that you think
Your brain has a natural negative bias, that is just how it is.
There is a lot going on right now and it is very easy to get caught up in and miss the good stuff
Tiny good things added up to make a Feck ton of great stuff
You can start now… and keep it going.
Why it matters – Noticing the good things…
Appreciating
Being grateful
Being mindful
Something to make you smile
(doesn’t matter how small)
Your list will disconnect you from toxic, negative emotions and the ruminating that often accompanies them.
You don’t need to share them with anyone else if you don’t want to…
(though you know we love it when you do)
just keep jotting them down.
A ‘Good sh*t list’ trains the brain to be more in tune with positive things and experiences…
and everyone is going through their own version of this.
Why keep doing it?
This is brain training, the ‘Good Sh*t’ muscle takes a while to build,
a bit like money accruing interest in the bank, the more you put in, and the longer you leave it, the more you get out.
- Increased happiness and positivity
- More satisfaction with life
- Less materialistic
- Less likely to experience burnout
- Better physical health
- Better sleep
- Greater resilience
and we all need these things right now.
What is going to go on your Good sh*t list for today?
Love and wishes
