This is what it feels like when you don’t feel like it.
Can you imagine your doctor saying:
if you take these pills, the side effects are losing any excess fat, you can eat pretty much everything you want, stay slim and have tons of energy…and it will work within days.
Long story short – a treatment I had had a possible side effect.
(I got the side effect – but it was a really great treatment so that’s fine)
The side effect is a high thing, a low thing, or very very rarely a totally random boinging from high to low backwards and forwards thing
(you know where this is going, right… I got the boingey one. Standard)
The measure they are looking for in the blood for this thing ranges normally from 0.4 and 4.0.
(mine is currently 72 a few months ago it was 0.0001.. and literally everything in between)
So SUPER LOW and now SUPER HIGH)
They are currently trying to fix this in the lab for future people that might get it, I think mine has been the most extreme ever. Am I wrong for being a little bit proud of that?
But for me:
making it better means giving me drugs to make it Lower…
and then probably drugs to make it Higher.
Rinse and repeat
Problem is… I’m in random mode.
You see the problem – it would be drug after drug.. and I said ‘NO thanks’ to any of it.
I’ll fix it with food and exercise rather than take the quick ‘fix’.
So when it was super low I found out all the things to do to make it higher.
And it worked.
And now it is insanely high… well – it means ZERO energy like I don’t think most people could imagine (the falling asleep mid-sentence, type)
but the exercise has to go UP UP UP.
But again – it will fix it as it calms and levels off.
Which will work.
The doctor agrees this is absolutely the way to go, he even said
“I was wrong, you were right” he’s just never seen anyone do it before!
Next level stubbornness.

So I am not posting this to show off (although I’ll grant you that was a little bit)
I am posting this as an answer to someone who asked earlier how I get out of my bed at 5:20 in the mornings
to get to the gym for 6.
It’s because I don’t want the drugs.
I want to do it properly.
Because I know it’s the long term fix.
This is the secret.
IF YOU WANT TO DO THINGS PROPERLY IT’S JUST a series of decisions.
- Do I get my gym gear ready the night before or say eff it, I’ll get more sleep
- Do I set the alarm, or not?
- When the alarm goes off, do I hit snooze, or not?
- When I get there do I slack off, or not?
- Do I leave early or not?
- Do I choose the healthy food, or not?
- Do I do it the next day, or not?
It’s the same for you.
All of it.
Whatever you want to achieve – you have to play the long game.
It’s always a series of decisions.
And you only need to make the next one.
This is how it felt today at 6am when I was too tired to go to the gym I did it anyway.
And it was the right decision.
