So you’ve scored your Life Purpose Statements out of 10.
I’m going to stick my neck out and say – if you are scoring 7+,
in each of them, you probably are on the right track.
There’s always room for improvement.
If they’re 4 and below, then at first glance, you could question whether they are the right ones for you.
But an equally good question could be – how has life got so badly in the way of the things you would be most fulfilled doing.
Either way – if you’re sure (which by now you should be) – exciting times are ahead.
Let’s start to bring some of this important thinking into reality.
It’s time to put your money where your mouth is.
Well, your energy, anyway.
If you want to live true to your Values, you have to take action.
And as you know, very little gets done towards your bigger goals, especially if you’re busy – if you don’t make a plan.
Just as we measure the Elements – we are going to take each of your Life Purpose Statements – and allocate an action each week.
Let’s use the examples from before:
Example w/c: 21/2/24
Adventure:
I will continually challenge myself whilst sharing fun and camaraderie in the nature I love so much.
Action:
Organise a river walk with the people on my team at work this weekend
Kindness:
I will live a life of compassion, service, and contribution to my fellow human.
Action:
I will call in on my elderly neighbour with the kids and share some tea and cakes on Thursday night
Calmness:
I will live life gently and mindfully, serenely savouring my moments.
Action:
I will practice a mindful meditation each morning in the garden before anyone wakes up
Learning:
I will live life expanding my knowledge; seeking out and sharing the truth.
Action:
I will continue with my DuoLinguo Japanese course completing a unit a day before bed
You can see that each of these fit into our Elements, so they don’t need to be extras.
They help inform what you do in a more directed way –
which will ultimately help you reach a life where you really are Living Your Values.
Which is, of course – an another Element.
We’d love to see your ‘Values-based, Life Purpose’ Actions below.
