Whenever we do polls on this, the kitchen always comes up as the room that gets the most trashed.
Perhaps the biggest bang for your energy buck would be a massive cull of ‘things that don’t need to be there’.

It could even be that one messy drawer or cupboard that annoys you, just one
Clear out, give away, sell, streamline the heck out of that space.
