Getting Ready HERE
Day 1 HERE
Day 2 HERE
… and then come back!
1. Watch the video
(don’t forget about the CC button at the bottom)
Obviously we are working on the hopeful assumption that the Christmas markets and Ice Rinks will be open by the time we get out in the world again…
2. Simplify YOUR TIME and conserve your energy
Something to consider at this more tiring time of the year:
is there anything you are doing/planning or details you are stressing about – that maybe you don’t need to?
Are there areas you could simplify the busy-ness.
Is there anything you are doing… just to be polite?
Doing things… even online things – that you really don’t fancy?
Rest is so important for your wellbeing and health and many of us forget to prioritise it at this time of year.
Internet shops have most things covered gift and food-wise 😉
Just worth thinking about.
3. TASK: CELEBRATE THE SIMPLE THINGS
Your task today is to write a list of all the simple things you are really grateful for.
It’s even lovelier to write this on actual paper, but whatever works best for you – share it with the group.
The things that make you happy, that make your face light up.
Research has shown that deliberately and regularly practicing gratitude, strengthens the connections in our brain for positive emotions.
It actually makes us healthier and more positive!
Especially if you know you you are prone towards negative emotions – keeping a gratitude journal (simply jotting down things that happen in your day that you feel grateful for) is one simple way to start to turn things round.
We really encourage people to team up as ‘gratitude buddies’ and to simply call, text or email the things they are grateful for to keep each other accountable daily.
And we invite members each evening to share in the group.
Even at times of low mood or anxiety – the very act of taking time to try to find things to be grateful for – is shown to make a real difference.
It’s a fast and powerful tool that is useful for everyone!
6. Tell us all about it
Come over to the group and share your gratitude lists, or in our daily post
