Bucket List – Fun & Variety
Let’s think longer term, and DREAM BIG.
We want you to create a bucket list – but let’s not rush things.
Let’s spend between now and Friday crafting a bucket list with meaning.
So for today – let’s simply give it a name.
It’s an important step, as it is going to pre-frame everything you write underneath it.
You’ll literally see those words every time you look at your list, so it’s important that the words are the right ones.
So it could be;
_______’s Life Highlight List
The Lifetime Goals of _______.
_______’s To Dos before she’s 45.
Meaningful things to Conquer
_______’s Dream Plans
The BIG Plan
Things to Achieve in _______’s Lifetime Amazing Experiences Tick List
The Life F^ck it Bucket List
_______’s Aspiration List
My Must-Dos.
And while there are apps and websites that are great at generating ideas and housing your list – in this instance,
I’m going to suggest that once you’ve decided on your list’s name…
You write it by hand.
And add each of your list items by hand as well.
And here’s why;
Writing by hand improves recall
It slows down the process, so you tend to give things more thought
and this engages areas of the brain involved in memory.
This means that you are much more likely to remember what’s on your list if you’ve written it by hand, and notice opportunities that present themselves that could help you achieve those things.
The creative aspect of the freedom of a blank page means that you can draw little pictures, diagrams fires up yet other parts of our brain.
It helps you start to make connections and problem-solve – almost in the background.
If you are a visual learner (and let’s face it, we all are to at least some degree) writing, underlining, doodling, adding stars, asterisks etc – all help cement the information.
It takes things from ideas, wishes and concepts, to something tangible you can hold in your hand.
So that’s it for today – come up with a NAME for your list,
and a place to write it.
