Advent Calendars
So Exciting
if you are 9…
I seriously have nothing against One Direction,
I am pretty certain I am not the target market…
But having a One Direction Advent Calendar held up,
with a ‘PLEASSSSE?’ face by a rather gorgeous 9 year old…
Whats a girl to do?
In the trolley it went.
Bit of card,
Tiny pieces of tasteless chocolate,
the best bits are the little doors
The cat is trying his best to open the lot of them.
(Has replaced the unravelling the toilet paper
and drinking any glass of water I pour myself
as his life’s missions)
Anyway.
I saw the GIFT BAG advent calendar above
on Pinterest.
(there’s loads! I am making mine today
I’ll take a picture.
Bound to be camp)
HAZAAAAAA
that’s more like it.
So you fill each bag with a little gift
and number the bags.
Lovely, personal and special.
And easy.
And really impressive when people come round.
At least 40 mum points there in one hit.
It got me thinking…
I reckon we could take that one step further
on our Christmas Countdown.
Todays Mission:
If you choose to accept it…
Make a FAMILY advent calendar..
Here’s how it works
What does mum want?
She want to stay/get/be even more fit and gorgeous
over the holiday season without too much effort.
Massage voucher 😉
Bath bomb
Face Pack
Have some help.
Dad..
See his friends, have nice food, relax more
whatever it is,
little after shave tester
Steak dinner later…
Choice of tonights telly??
Children
Sweets and toys basically.
So…in the bag – EACH DAY
Everyone in the house gets something.
Children – easy!
Wrap in a particular colour each
or label with a sticker.
Sorted
Grown ups can have promises
from the family…to each of them
or little gifts
Mum gets… everyone coming to the woods
for a 10 minute run.
- Uninterrupted 10 minutes on WII Fit.
- Or workout video.
- Or run.
- Or children are going to pair the socks
- Or write the gift labels for presents
Dad gets
- Everyone cleans the car
…. and so on
Whatever everyone’s thing is.
A little family bag of treats and promises to each other.
The only rule is that the treats and promises
must be carried out EACH day.
You can’t bank them
Because you have to keep the Happy going.
So Happy is a daily habit.
Not an occasional treat.
And it doesnt matter if we are a couple of days in.
Still works!
Have fun – and PLEASEEEEE show us the pictures
