Good morning, welcome to my brain, take a seat.
A quickie.
I’m getting together a webinar about Post Pandemic life, with neurology expert, Amy.
I’ve been asking people what specific issues they’d like to solve.
A really frequent issue is worry:
What will it be like back in the office?
What if people don’t wear masks?
What if people come too close?
What if the school don’t manage things well?
What if I can’t cope with that many people again?
What if I get overwhelmed with everything and can’t function?
What if it never goes back to normal?
We will help you with all that – I promise.
If you’re feeling like that – here’s something to think about in the meantime.
How often in your life did you predict things exactly right?
How often in your life have you said ‘I don’t know what I was worried about’.
How often did you see the things that knock you for six, coming.
I promise you this.
You don’t know what will happen.
We usually rise to challenges better than we would dare to hope.
Most people are decent and want the best for you.
If you’re feeling anxious each day now, over and over – ruminating on what’s to come
you’re in a place now that is WAY worse than the things you’re worrying about.
Remember when you worried about the dentist.
The appointment.
The presentation.
And you were OK, right?
Look at you still here.
I’m not saying look on the bright side and everything’s going to be OK.
I think it probably will,
but that’s not what I’m saying.
I actually think people will be awesome, everyone will appreciate each other and we are going to have the best year ever.
But I don’t ask you to think that too.
All I’m saying is – Don’t Make It Worse.
You losing sleep, being stressed, eating badly… hiding away
that’s the stuff you need to worry about.
Those are the things that will definitely make you ill.
You’ll take all the precautions necessary,
you’ll weigh things up – you’ll make GOOD decisions.
So will most other people
(Stats say people in this country are WAY more rule abiding than many others. Don’t let the press mislead you. Of course they’ll find the worst examples of people to sell papers/get hits!! I’ll prove that to you on the webinar.)
You need to be on form to make the best decisions..
So if you need permission to let the stress go… here it is.
You holding tight to your worries won’t change a thing about what’s to come – other than your health.
We don’t want Blissful Ignorance.
We want Blissful Realism.
Blissful Realism means that you aren’t burying your head in the sand. but you’re not being reckless, either.
Dialling down the stress so you can rejoin the world sensibly
so you can feel confident.
But not so timidly that you miss out on the great opportunities out there waiting for you.
We’re going to show you how to do that.
You deserve bliss in 2021 – let’s make that happen.
